Spotted borer/ Internode Borer

Symptom

Around three months after planting, borers begin to attack the sugarcane plants. The infestation results in shortened and compressed internodes, along with numerous entry holes. Fresh frass and blocked borer entry points can be observed at the internodes. Frass deposits are also visible in the damaged areas.
