Fusarium wilt
Symptom
Fusarium wilt, caused by the Fusarium spp., is a common disease in soybean plants. When infection occurs at an early growth stage, symptoms begin with the lower leaves, leading to wilting, chlorosis, and eventual collapse onto the soil. Affected stems become thin and shriveled, while the inner roots exhibit brown discoloration. In severe cases, the leaves turn yellow or straw-colored, ultimately causing plant decline. When the stem is dissected, dark vascular discoloration is visible. This disease is more prevalent in cooler seasons.
