Potato Tuber Moth

Symptom

Cutworms bore into the petioles and young shoots of the leaves, causing the plants to wilt. They also penetrate into potato tubers, feeding internally and leading to rotting of the tubers. Infestation can be identified by the presence of blackened, dirty entry holes on the potato surface. Damage can occur from planting through to storage.
