Potato leaf miner

Symptom

Winding, whitish trails appear on potato leaves where the larvae tunnel between the upper and lower surfaces. As larvae grow, mines expand into irregular blotches. Affected areas turn brown and dry up over time. Heavy infestation reduces the leaf's ability to produce food, leading to poor plant growth. Tiny larvae or pupae may be seen inside the mines when the leaf is held against light.
